Tasty Tuna Salad

Tuna is the one of the most nutritious food in the world. High source of protein and useful microelements and minerals, it is perfect for people who are taking exercises and want to make their body strength and healthy.

In this recipe we combined a lot of natural valuable ingredients: fresh vegetables, nutritional type of fish, aromatic herbs and spices. The salad has versatile and well – balanced taste that can be used as accompaniment to meals with more light or deep flavors. I’ve recommend to serve it with baked or steamed vegetables.

  1. ½ iceberg salad head
  2. ½ red bell pepper
  3. 3 cucumbers
  4. Some sprigs of dill
  5. ½ lemon
  6. 1 red onion
  7. 2 cans of natural tuna
  8. 1 avocado
  9. Basil leaves
  10. Juice of one lemon
  11. Sea salt
  12. Ground black pepper
For dressing
  1. 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
  2. 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  3. 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  4. Pinch of salt
  5. Pinch of sugar
  6. Ground black pepper
  1. Chop the iceberg salad into pieces.
  2. Remove the core and seeds from bell pepper, slice in half and cut into cubes.
  3. Slice the cucumbers into half rings.
  4. Cut the avocado in half, discard the pit and slice into pieces. Cut onion into cubes.
  5. Transfer all vegetables into mixing bowl. Finely chop the herbs and basil leaves and sprinkle on top of the salad.
  6. Drizzle with lemon juice, season with some salt and pepper and add tuna.
  7. Mix all ingredients for dressing into a bowl, whisk well for 5 minutes until combine.
  8. Add dressing to salad, give a good stir and serve.
  9. Enjoy!
