Pancakes with caramel sauce

Delicious pancakes with caramel sauce. It is so tasty, fluffy and really perfect as a breakfast dish.

Pancakes with caramel sauce


  • 300 grams of plain flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp. of sugar
  • 1 tbsp. of icing sugar
  • 2 tsp. of baking powder
  • 250 grams of milk
  • 3 tbsp. of unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp. of olive oil
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Mix all dry ingredients exept sugar in a large bowl using a sift and whisk.
  2. Beat the eggs with sugar for several minutes until combine.
  3. Melt the butter and mix with 2 table spoons of olive oil and 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract. Add it into egg mixture and stir well.
  4. Add dry ingredients into mixture by small portions. Thoroughly stir until combine after every time when you adding dry ingredients.
  5. Use the remaining olive oil to grease the frying pan every time before cooking pancakes. Wait until frying pan warm up and then add a small portion of pancakes batter. Cook for 2 – 3 minutes on each side until it turns to golden.
  6. Serve with fresh berries and caramel sauce. You can also use a honey, maple syrup, your favorite jam and other sauces.

Caramel sauce

Delicious caramel sauce with vanilla aroma and creamy taste. It just melt into your mouth. Perfect for pancakes and muffins.


  • 150 ml of heavy cream (33 – 35 % of fat)
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 20 grams of butter


1. Put the sugar into a saucepan with thick bottom and place it on the medium heat.
2. In other pan bring heavy cream to a boil but not to boil it.
3. When sugar starts to melting use a wooden spoon to stir it until combine.
4. Do not overcooked the sugar. Remove both pans from the heat. Carefully stir heavy cream into a pan with sugar and mix well. Add cold butter and stir it until combine.
5. The sauce is ready. You can serve it hot or chilled but I prefer the second one.
